Thought For Inspiration: Be Shrewd, be disciplined by the rules.

Man is generally known as a free entity and thereby would spare no time in exploring or doing things out of just mere desire if there are no rules to play by.
It's like playing a game with no rules attached, so everyone and anyone can cheat, lie or even kill in order to win. But if the game has rules, no matter how rough, stubborn or crooked the players are, they have no choice but to force themselves into playing by the rules.

This brings us to what we are talking about for sometime now “Discipline”.
It's impossible to say you want to be disciplined and not lay rules for yourself, why? Because it is the consistent faithful adherence to these rules that shows if one is disciplined or not.

The root of discipline or vice is in the home which is the source of any individual.
For instance , a typical African family is known for discipline, especially the Nigerian mother who is quite a disciplinarian. She need not tell her child to do this or that when they are out visiting, they already have signs with different meanings through which they communicate and they play by the rules. And God help the child that disobeys or refuses to play by the rules, that child will have evidence to show for an act of stubborn disobedience.

In a generation where discipline seems to be a forgotten virtue, we can bring it (discipline) back by laying down rules with a common goal in mind. Following these rules faithfully and conscientiously would truly yield desired fruits even when it looks difficult and impossible to achieve.

Ronaldo is an award-winning footballer, what earned him the awards and fame is not his talent alone but his disciplined life. He lived by the rules of practice and training, day in day out, now he's reaping the full benefits and it is quite a satisfying reward because every footballer wants to be like him.

Let's face it, indiscipline only breed nuisance only discipline produces results, good desirable results!

Let this be your mantra for the new year, discipline is attainable just like the dreams I’ve for my future.
