I really enjoyed the way you wrote that story from a father's perspective of childbirth and the experience of becoming a new parent after leaving the hospital. I remember my husband and I feeling the same way when I was discharged 24 days after our baby was born. The reality of how our home life was about to change was sinking in our minds. I still remember those nights taking turns to hold our baby while she slept. As difficult as they seemed then, they flew past in an instant.
