I know this quote "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars" from Lady Windermere's Fan written by Oscar Wilde. It has a deep meaning to it. It is about Lady Windermere rejecting the Lord Darlington, in summary Lady Windermere is the Star that is out of his reach, as he is unworthy of having her. In relation to us, it is us longing for something that we are unworthy of, we can only gaze at the stars.
