RE: Gratitude in the face of suffering

in #life7 years ago

Wonderful article Jay. Resteemed.

Read @cocacho's article to find out more about Lou Andreas-Salome. What a statement to leave the world now, before departing such a mentally and emotionally rich life. Love hearing about people who can see beyond whatever 'norms' they have been fed by their surroundings.

Bearing whatever sadness seems to be needed for us to break free of it, is something to be so grateful for. Can of course be so challenging at the time. But then to feel the joys in the simplest and smallest of 'things' becomes our blessing ~ That is ours to keep. 🦋

Thank you, Ally! I'm so happy that you get it :o) And thank you for Resteeming it - I appreciate that so much <3

Yes, surviving anguish and living to see another day definitely helps one to see the joys and the wonder in life, as long as we are thankful for the lessons it has brought to us. And it absolutely can be hard to do that. I'm always glad to meet another soul who sees it for what it is, Ally - so thank you so much for this thoughtful response, which shows me that you are one of them <3 xx
