Who are you when noone is around? Whats your favorite song?

What do YOU listen to when YOU are all alone? I mean really alone? What is YOUR favorite song? Maybe you do not understand the question so i will ask the question again? Who are you? I am not interested in who you are when you are around your spouse or friends. I want to know who you are when no one is around to judge you. Who are you in a room made just for you? what is inside that room? Who are you?

Throughout the last year or so i have witnessed more people become followers and shadows than i would have ever imagined possible in my life time. What happened to being leaders, role models for our children or simply being ourselves. The media and activists have brainwashed our youth into following beliefs that make sure society is contained. Todays outbursts of aggression are the same outbursts thousands of years ago people underwent to accept religion. Are we truly becoming our ancestors? Somewhere along the last decade we forgot who we are. It might be that my mother was right and electronics and video games did destroy the world instead of making it better. I never noticed the decrease of children at the playgrounds and parents participating in outdoor sports until i had children. Parks that used to be full are now empty and people walk around the streets, head down and all attention towards their phones. Universities only use books because people buy them and its not by choice but because it is a requirement. I have bought countless books which i never opened due to all course work being online. My last literature class had us by a short story novel without any novels required for the course. When did teachers stop teaching? The only headline news regarding education i see lately is regarding teachers sleeping with students. Where were these teachers 15 years ago? My teachers needed arthritis medication every period. The world has turned into the earlier version of idiocracy ( if you havn't seen the movie, check it out) the question is where did we go wrong?

So... Who are you.. I ask this of you like you should ask of a stranger who will normally never associate with. I recently met a man who spent more time in jail than he did living outside of a cell. What could i a kid from Brooklyn from a suburban community have in common with a convicted felon? Well besides our views that we lost sight on becoming leaders and role models we also had a common music preference when there was no image to be upheld. I guess no matter the age, the race or history. Music will always bring us together.
