YOU ARE MORE ALONE THAN YOU IMAGINE
Most of us agree that we live in a deceitful, dishonest and distrustful world. And yet we choose to trust those who make profit on us. In a profit oriented world we constantly decide to put our trust to those who profit from our trust and loss, or even misery.
For example - why would medical establishment want to help us to be fully healthy? We are their clients; the ones that make their income, their salaries. If we're completely healthy, they’re out of work and make no profit. Sure, in this Mad world there's no fear for medical institutions to go out of business - but in general, why would they want to turn their clients away from them? Ain’t 'Clients for life’ a better philosophy?
Am I taking it on the medical workers? No, of course not. They are just doing their job - in good faith that it's the right thing, as they were trained. OK, I wouldn't quite agree with most of the 'healing' I have received - eliminating symptoms instead of finding and treating or eliminating causes is not the most promising treatment. But as I believe that symptoms are actually an effect, consequence or a visible part of my organism trying to solve problems on its own, the symptoms eventually cease, with or without that 'helpful' symptoms treatment (with a presumption that my organism's own healing mechanism is successful at healing). I've received my share of nonsense with removed tonsils, gall-bladder, appendix. All the types of 'healing' that is considered false in today's modern medicine.
But I really don't want to waste more time on provocation I actually did not intend to start. There are many other fields that offer numerous false (and potentially harmful) beliefs. Mostly based on wrong conclusions where authority was unable to differentiate correlation from causation (lots of interesting studies on the topic available).
As I started in the beginning - why do we choose to trust those who are 'in for the money' and reject those that are 'in because of their passion to help others'? Those that we commonly choose to trust, do it for the money, tend to expedite the process, make more mistakes and even tend to hide some of them, put in least possible effort for the biggest possible profit, and don't care much about helping others.
While on the other hand those that we mostly reject, are often those that don't care about the money, want real results, want to help others and to do no harm while helping, invest with blood, sweat and tears, seek to identify and eliminate all potential mistakes, and take all the time necessary to reach the best informed decision.
Anyway, my favorite conclusion on the topic is incredibly well put together by Robert Greene:
"Realists are not afraid to look at the harsh circumstances of life. They sharpen their eye by paying keen attention to details, to people’s intentions, to the dark realities hiding behind any glamorous surface. Like any muscle that is trained, they develop the capacity to see with more intensity.
Everyone in the world is governed by self-interest. People naturally think first of themselves and their agendas. An occasional affectionate or helpful gesture from people you know tends to cloud this reality and make you expect more of this support—until you are disappointed, again and again.
You are more alone than you imagine. This should not be a source of fear but of freedom. When you prove to yourself that you can get things on your own, then you experience a sense of liberation. You are no longer waiting for people to do this or that for you (a frustrating and infuriating experience). You have confidence that you can manage any adverse situation on your own.
Think of it this way: Dependency is a habit that is so easy to acquire. We live in a culture that offers you all kinds of crutches. Experts to turn to, drugs to cure any psychological unease, mild pleasures to help pass or kill time, jobs to keep you just above water, it is hard to resist. But once you give in, it is like a prison you enter that you cannot ever leave. You continually look outward for help and this severely limits your options and manoeuvrability. When the time comes, as it inevitably does, when you must make an important decision, you have nothing inside of yourself to depend on."
“I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad, the dreams in which I’m dying are the very best I’ve ever had.” Cause when I wake up from these dreams, I realize how to survive in this Mad world.

Thanks a lot for taking your time and reading my post! I'd love to hear your thoughts, but I don't give a f* about comments from those who don't want to liberate their own brain.
