Like oxygen, water is a fundamental element for life on earth, but unfortunately a large part of the population is not yet aware of it or is deaf to it. The irony of this situation is that there are countries where having water is a complete odyssey and in others, they simply throw it away. The world is definitely a little crazy!
Wasting or throwing away water is an activity that is carried out very often and more often in coastal countries or countries that have a lot of carnivals or in developed countries. In these places they see water as infinite or never-ending, but those of us who have gone through seasons of drought know that it is not so and we attach great importance to it, we know how valuable it is.
What causes people to dump water?
People waste water for the following reasons.
- They don't value it because they have a lot at their disposal.
- Many patron saint festivals or carnivals.
- They are not waiting to fill things up.
- The aqueduct system is not in the best condition and there are leaks.

How could it be solved?
To solve these bad attitudes in people can be done....
- Educate and raise awareness. They should know that water is not an infinite resource and that because of its poor management, droughts are worse elsewhere.
- Fines for users who throw it away.
- The water service is not active 24 hours a day.
- Maintain the entire water supply network to avoid a large percentage of losses of drinking water.
After making a good periodic maintenance to the whole network, the second thing would be to implement the first option, that way people will adapt their consumption according to their needs and will not feel such an abrupt change in it, but in case they still continue with their bad habits it is definitely necessary to implement the other options.
