How a dinner plate is analogous to Life:
A plate begins the meal in the cupboard, a clean slate awaiting to be brought forth to the dining table.
Once the meal has finished preparing, the plate is selected and filled with the appropriate nourishment and laid upon the table.
Slowly, the plate gives of itself unto an outside force, until the moment it has nothing left to give.
At this point the plate is then retrieved and brought before the water to be cleansed of its past meal and returned to the cupboard for safe keeping until the next meal is ready.
But, its just a plate.
