Sakura (Cherry Blossom)!

in #life8 years ago

Hey guys!

As a child, my favourite categories in cartoons have been anime. I used to love the way they portrayed elements in Card Captor Sakura, especially the sakura trees. I have never been to Japan but I absolutely love their culture and knowing about it.

I was reading about cherry blossom trees when I started thinking about what could they represent and why people love them so much (excluding the fact that they are so beautiful <3)

This is one of the scenes from the introduction song in Cardcaptor sakura. The entire song had some really good visuals which fascinated me a lot as a child. Isn't this so dreamy? <3

Okay, back to the point.

Other than being of national importance, the sakura tree is also a symbol of life and death. The sakura tree (cherry blossom) represents the beauty and fragility of life.It reminds us how beautiful life is but also very short. It also represents renewal and celebration of life.

After the tree is in full bloom, it takes about 1-2 weeks for the petals to completely fall off. Pretty quick isn't it? Kind of how life is I suppose..

Hanami is a festival in which people gather around and enjoy the beauty of these flowers. These areas are filled with people who spend a full day with each other! Paper lanterns can also be hung to illuminate the tree.

Hey @aishwarya, I told you I would come back, so here I am! :)

Regarding your post, Cherry Blossom has been shoes polish that I have seen my dad using on his shoes when I was a kid. It's still a famous brand and is used in my family. So, for some time, this took me back to the memory lane. It was good.

I never heard of this Japanese festival but I have a great liking and respect for the originality of Japan specially in the field of electronics.

Lastly, you have shared some amazing photos. There are still few things that we humans have not been able to ruin. :)

Excellent post! Shared.

Steem On!

I think I know what you are talking about! I remember that brand very very clearly :) I ma glad it brought back some memories to you and now me too. Thank you for your thoughtfulness <3

It's a pleasure. Happy New Year.

I personally don't like anime but i can't say the same for Cherry Blossom. I would definitely like to visit Japan one day just to see the autumn. If It looks most beautiful in pictures itself then i wonder how beautiful it looks in real.

Who can resist the scenery of flowers especially the cherry blossoms?

Love the scent of every flower

Have you actually been around one? :)

Yes I have
I have seen them in weddings
Why are you asking this?

I know right! The Japanese culture has me mesmerised completely <3 @themobilewriter

Wonderful, though I live near to Washington DC where they say Cherry Blossoms are the things to go for every Spring, but never could find time. May be your posts motivate me to travel and experience them coming Mar-April

Definitely! It would be a pleasure to see how it is for you and us as well <3

I love Japanese culture too and I love reading about it. "Shogun" by James Clavell is easily one of my favorite book. In fact I love all of my historical fiction even more when the setting is in Japan. "Omamori" is another favorite book of my mine again set in Japan during the World War era.
I would sure love to visit Japan some day.

Wow! That's really awesome to know that you have an interest in Japan's culture :)
I haven't read these but would definitely love to explore more!

Japan is the number one place that I want to go to ever since I was a kid. I learned the language for about 3 years during the time I was in school. I'm going to be saving up to go there in 2018, that's my goal.

Wow! That is so awesome man! I would love to go there too. Already waiting for you "Japan" travel post <3 :P
