The Dawning Of a New Age - The Collective Identity of Humanity

Before this stage of modern humanity we lived in a world made up of many different societies. Over the course of history they joined together, formed a group consciousness, and a group identity, and made choices about who they wanted to be as a people. They had different traits and characteristics, different ways of dealing with violence, crime, outsiders and with the unknown. They developed different ways of assimilating ideas, of educating, and created long legacies of art, literature, and spirituality.

Now, with globalization, we are very rapidly assimilating all of these different ideas and characteristics that took thousands of years to produce. From these collective identities and knowledge trees we are building what will end up being the nature of humans. As we venture out into the galaxy, this will be the nature we take with us. This will be our legacy as a species. It’s up to us, to look at all the great traditions of the world before they are assimilated and in essence destroyed and choose the good parts, the parts that we want to have in the future collective identity of our species.
