GIANTS YOU SHOULD KNOW

Believe me, you will be amazed after going through this list. There are guys that are actually three times your size. I personally actually believed there’s no one as twice as I am until I made discoveries. You’ve probably watched lots of movies with massive giants and concluded they only existed in movies, trust me here, these guys are real. They are that tall!

Let me walk you down my list;

ROBERT WADLOW

The fallen hero. The giant with a record that hasn’t been beaten. He was the tallest man on earth. His coffin required 12 big men to carry, that was how tall and big he was. He died at the age of 22 and was known as the Alton giant. Yes! He was raised there. His story sounds familiar right?

Robert Wadlow was already very taller than his father at a tender age. The picture you are seeing is actually a picture of him and his father. He was also made a statue and he’s still the tallest man that ever lived with height of 8ft 11. He weighed 490lb.

We haven’t seen any man or woman that has come close to Robert’s height.

SULTAN KOSEN

Sultan is 8’4” tall. His height made him use crutches. Just imagine a guy using crutches because he’s too tall. He couldn’t fit in moderate sized cars and can’t get into rooms with smaller doors easily but he was able to get hold of things that’s as high as 8ft. I guess virtually everything has advantages and disadvantages. Researches proved that his growth arose from acromegaly, caused by a tumor affecting his pituitary gland.

Sultan is Turkish. He understood Kurdish and Turkish but married a woman that understood only Arabic. Well, I’m not ready to walk down that lane to explain what love can really do.

YAO MING

If you are a basketball fan, then you should know this guy. I’ve always seen him as a beast and a cheat to the game. Don’t mind my language. But, what do you call a man that could throw the ball into the net easily without jumping? As tall as Kevin Durant is, he practically jumps very high to put the ball into the net but this guy just puts it in.

Yao Ming is 7’9” tall and he was the tallest basketball player that ever lived. I used “was” because he doesn’t play the game again not because he’s late. He was indeed famous, not just because of his historic height, he was good in the game too. Yao has a documentary called “the year of the Yao.” That’s recommendable for people who doesn’t know him. Don’t be surprised he made my list. For someone as tall as that? He’s definitely a giant.

YAO DEFEN

She wasn’t in any way related to Ming. They are both Chinese, hence the surname. And yes! She was a lady. When the word “giants” comes to mind, the world expects a very huge man. Well, there are huge ladies too. She owns the Guinness record for the tallest woman that ever lived. She’s 7’8” tall. Her growth issue is similar to that of Sultan. When she was 11, she was already 6’2” tall. Franking speaking, I’m not even as tall as that. She was born into a poor family and never got proper medical care. Well, she became famous after she emerged as the tallest woman on earth. I believe the record comes with a price too.

She died in 2012.

HAFBOR BJORNSSON

Where are the game of thrones’ fans? Y’all should know this man. He’s nicknamed as the mountain in the series. The lady sitting at the iron throne is always confident just because she has him to fight her battles. Who would have believed he’s actually that tall and huge in real life. I for one believed it’s a movie prank made to make him look so huge. He’s 6’9” tall and weighs 400lbs. That’s enough for a giant if you ask me.

He started as a basketball player but never looked like a giant then. His career was cut short by a knee injury and ever since he practiced hard and increased his biceps and strengths. He carries things that weights as high as 900lbs. I hope he doesn’t injure himself soon. He won second place in 2017 as the world’s strongest man. Well, he definitely looks like how he was portrayed in game of thrones. He’s definitely the mountain.
