RE: Grandma's Curtain Grandma's Love - a childhood memory turned into unique upcycling jewellery

in #life6 years ago

You made a touching post that I can't help but feel like I should call y grandmother. I am also curious about the design of the curtain, would you have pictures of the curtain? I like the design and would like to see how it looked like whole.

I was also curious about the curtains!!! I imagined them to be the sheer, soft curtains - but then... he wouldn't be able to hide very well hehehehee

what did the curtains look like @anutu? :)

Forgot an important detail. There was a kind of holder - scarf like - that was attached to the wall. So it was easy to hold them to the side when needed. At the end of the holder scarf there was the round brass object sewed on. ( central piece of the necklace) With the little snake hook (right in the picture) the holding scarf could be connected to the wall fixture.

oh yes - i've seen these before... the way to draw the curtains back... yep! i love those :)

The curtains were made of a silky satin material in very very dark red colour, more a burgundy colour. They had a second layer from another textile material behind the front layer to keep the room dark when wanted. There was no chance to look through, complete privacy and perfect to hide behind :)

hehehehehe i can imagine how soft they must have felt to hide behind! and i'm glad you had your privacy there! perfect little world to hide in :)
