What do you call the seventh day of the week?

It was a busy day this Sunday. But that kind of busy when you have so much fun, chill and enjoy what you're doing that you almost forget to eat take a look at what time it is and check on Steem. After putting my friend's fishing boat on water, yesterday, it was about the time to do some fishing today, isn't it? Yes, BUT first we had to solve some "puzzle" on water. Yesterday when my friend put the boat on water accidentally pulled someone's fishing rod after the boat from the man's deck. The line was so far cast into the water that he wouldn't even imagine that he wasn't far enough off shore to steer left and head to his own deck in the town so what do you see... a man's fishing road "was launched" into the water by its own line and today we had to recover it or pay for it.

So, we took the dog, Chilly, who hasn't had the chance yet to sail on Danube and went straight to the place where the rod was waiting for us. Luckily there was some water grass in the area and the fishing rod got stuck in some of it so it was just recovering and nothing to pay for. The owner haven't even expected us to come back and search for his fishing rod. After a about 10 minutes of spinning in circle in the area we found the line, pulled the rod out of the water and hand it to the owner. With lost fishing rod problem solved we went back to left the dog on shore to my friend's father and get our fishing gear from my garage.

With the dog "delivered" safe it was time to actually do something about that fishing that we discussed for some time, and waited for that long, so we selected some fishing gear, took the anchor, the sonar and some beers and water and we went straight to pick my friend's brother-in-law, who has a vacation house right by the water in the next village. He actually brought the proper earthworms and hooks, to be honest, for fishing catfish as that's what we intended to catch today. Then we "flew" straight to a supposedly good spot, made a short map of the bottom of the water with the sonar and then anchored the boat as currents in the Danube's boilers are very strong and other way we couldn't fish from a fixed place. Mounted the hooks, attached some earthworms and here we are. Waiting for some catfish to eat. In front of us there were some tourists who were already catching the scouted fish thus we also "felt lucky". I suppose though that they had some other type of bait because we didn't catch a damn thing.

So, the "brother-in-law" came with the idea that we should try some other place that he knows has deeper water and that's where we might hook something. He also said that he has some "good experience" over there "registered on Facebook". The one were we were fishing was not shallow either, as it had about 24 meters, but we said OK let's try that one too and see what it "has to offer" so we sailed to the place that had as a reference point some rocks from the Serbian hills. Checked and mapped this one also with the sonar and found "some 31 meters" hole in which it was supposed to hide the catfish. However, on sonar nothing moved, but we tried anyway. "Launched" the bait, opened some beers and waited for "a chew". And waited and waited and waited until my friend, the captain even felt asleep.

With no bite at all we decided to go back to the first spot. We took the tourist's spot for about half an hour, as they already left, finished the beers and decided that we can't win this match against the catfish. It was close to evening and the "brother-in-law" was already hungry so we took him to his house and then continued towards our town. We arrived at sunset, close to getting dark so we realized that at least the timing for leaving home was perfect. We took everything out of the boat, cleaned it, washed it and loaded the fishing gear in the car.
We left home the same we came on the water, empty handed, but with good faith in a future day filled with fish. For now I know that I had only landscapes to share with you around here, but I have a hunch that it won't take long until you'll see some good catches on my blog, so, keep an eye on it. I will for sure make them public.
