Life lessons that we just skip from learning
Life is the film that unfolds in the temporal space between the first and last breath of each of us and is the most precious gift of all. However, our lives are not just milk and honey, and often the salt added to this recipe is our own ingredient. An ingredient that we continue to add over time in various forms, breaking the taste of an experience that might be ... sweet.
Metaphorically speaking one of these ingredients would be the need to please everyone which is an impossible mission. Not even Superman could do that.
This habit is strengthened over time because of the fear of changing ourselves and start doing it in our own way. Even if that means we won't be the nice guy or gal anymore.
And by doing that what can we loose?
An old me that was sabotaging himself for others in an useless and never ending sacrifice that was an energy drainer as well.
Another obstacle we place on ourselves is overthinking and punishing ourselves for some mistakes we have made. Only who does not work does not make mistakes, it is said, so it's normal to be wrong, and it is just as normal to learn from mistakes.
When we refuse to go through a certain episode of life by rolling it over and over again in our mind we remain stuck in this episode. An episode that pauses the whole movie.
Until we don't get over the hard times and procrastination we don't get to see another chapter.
Thinking that we are not good enough to achieve something is like stop posting on steemit because we don't have that much followers to read our posts.
When we believe in ourselves is when we make the first step towards the finish line, but step 0 is to remove I am not good* from our minds an vocabularies.
The pen is in our hand to write the thread of life to the end. It's our film where we are the main actor, the director and the producer also.
Lessons in life are made to be learned not skipped.
So true, we must learn from life, i think life is a work in progression, we always must improve ourself.
