The Lecherous Foreigner
There is an infrequent visitor to our little library who has earned an unsavory reputation over the years. He is an elderly fellow with a strong German accent, and he often asks for help with technology, such as sending e-mail or finding information online. Often, this help involves slightly or not-so-slightly NSFW material.
On one occasion a few years back, he asked the former manager to help him e-mail some pictures of himself in his underwear. He also accidentally switches to browser tabs of women in various stages of undress. That's not proper public behavior. Keep the porn at home.
He also likes to ogle my female co-workers.
The other day, he returned after a very long absence and ambushed our new youth librarian, Miss M. She didn't know about the Lecherous Foreigner because he hadn't been here in probably a year or so, and as such had not been atop our list of problematic patrons she needed to know about.
He was asking for a world atlas. I decided to step in and go grab the book in question from the shelf in the back of the library. Unfortunately, Miss M. intercepted me on by way back to the desk so she could help the charming old man find his maps. I, meanwhile, could see him staring at her chest as much as at the page from my position at the desk.
When she returned to the office area, I informed her of his past behavior. Hopefully she wasn't too creeped out. Miss M. isn't unattractive, but that's not really an excuse for the Lecherous Foreigner. He is definitely old enough to know better.
