RE: Libra is not Facebook.

Hopefully they'll all work on making laws to make crypto a better situation, then actually all fail. :P And someone smaller and more decentralized will succeed.

Humanity doesn't have a great track record of doing things intelligently though.

That would be the ideal situation.
It's like the big fish eats the small fish... but in reverse.

The big tank runs through the wall...then they blow it up, and we all invade through the hole.

You know, that was pretty much exactly what I wrote on my very first post ever on Steemit.

December 18, 2017... god damn.

In my wildest dream I now think of Bitcoin as the great leader of an army. Every altcoin is a new soldier. Many of these new soldiers even have better armor and weapons than Bitcoin itself, but far less training. Some are simple farm boys marching into slaughter. The enemy? Greed. Bitcoin will lead the charge, breach the gates for all his loyal soldiers, and will die valiantly for his noble cause: to protect the weak and and expose our evil overlords for all to see. I expect to see a financial and industrial revolution of biblical proportion, where open source decentralization and transparency trump the glorified mobster society that we live in today.

How glorious.

I wonder how close bitcoin is to being converted to the ranks of the undead.

What worries me is that Bitcoin was actually made to not have that many coins in existence. What if the real Satoshi is still out there and just not touching his Bitcoin because he made the coin to go insanely up in value, and one day he's going to just sell it all and become the richest man in existence.
