The De-sire to be Possessed and Governed

in #liberty6 years ago

On this Independence Day, it is beneficial to realize that we willingly gave away our liberty for safety. Let's back out of the deal, shall we?

"One either takes full possession of themselves, or they will be possessed by another, and one either fully self-governs, or they will be governed by another. The desire to be possessed and governed, where "desire" means to "de-" (to remove), and "sire" (to beget, to create), attracts those who wish to possess and govern others. The de-sire to be possessed and governed comes from the deep internal fear that one is not capable to provide safety for themselves without the help of a stronger and more powerful being or group to protect them. However, this so-called protection comes at a steep cost, as the freedom to self-determine must be forfeited to those offering their services, at least to the extent that the contract dictates. Slavery is therefore a voluntary and willful act committed from a de-sire for security, and not something that can be taken by force; forceful interactions only occur after the transfer of title has taken place between the de-sired and their owners who possess and govern them, and/or between those who seek to conquer the possessions of other owners playing the slave/owner competition game. Thankfully, it is impossible to possess and govern those who are in full possession of themselves, as they have taken full responsibility for their lives, and are therefore playing a distinct game with very different rules, one where self-ownership, creativity, and progression reigns supreme. Like a Royal dubbed "sire", they are sovereign beings who maintain their right to self-determination, and have full creative license to do as they please with their lives."
