Any cop can tell you, if you follow somebody around for a while they will eventually break the law. This is especially true if they are driving, but pedestrians J-walk, spit, curse, do all kinds of minor things that get them jacked-up and search.

@pastbastard,

Enjoyed the video post immensely.

Salutations. I am JaiChai.

Pleased to make your acquaintance.

RE: Your Post

Years ago, I was taking some leave from military active duty in Singapore. A buddy of mine told me that he was worried that I was chewing gum (we were walking on the sidewalk at the time).

Why?

Spitting on the sidewalk was illegal and incurred stiff penalties that included a hefty fine and possible jail time!

Upvoted and following you now.

Namaste,

JaiChai

Just a heads up, number 6 from the video about "Happy Birthday" is no longer copyright infringement as it is now (since the start of 2017) in the public domain in US and EU.

Although the larger issue of copyright infringement of actual copyrighted works is still obvioualy againt the law.

That makes me wonder what else might be copywritten (copywrited?) Auld Lang Sine comes to mind but somebody made a trademark on Peanutbutter-and-Jelly sandwiches and Macaroni and Cheese. Kraft foods paid him big bucks for the later trademark!

Had to chuckle, because if you are following someone around for a while perhaps you might be breaking the law, ie stalking! /s

I do law enforcement, but I am into mitigation. Nobody gets better from getting arrested. Also have a computer business and I can watch people let their P.I. slip in the same way usually. It should be unlawful for the cops to do this in most places, but most major US cities it is a regular practice.
