Yes! I have an obligation to be moral and ethical regardless of the law. The law is quite often not moral or ethical. There's a ton of law outside of the very narrow scope of violent crime. That's not by mistake either. Most laws are designed to rob or control people. It has nothing to do with keeping the peace or protecting individual's property.
