WTF Louisiana!!!!! Stop Trying to Ban Kratom

As if it’s not bad enough that Louisiana has expanded the unwinnable war on drugs to Mifeprex and Cytotec, which is unenforceable due to the drugs being schedule IV under the CSA and miscarriages being protected by HIPPA, there is agitation to blacklist Kratom as well. If this happens Louisiana will join 7 other states that have designated Kratom as a schedule 1 along with Heroin and Cocaine. As I’ve mentioned previously, the accusations against Kratom are exaggerated at best and outright lies at worst. As I noted in Is Anti-Kratom Propaganda the New Reefer Madness the CDC study found that Kratom was one of many substances found in 152 autopsies and provided no conclusive evidence that overdosing on Kratom alone killed a single person. This pales in comparison to the fraud and bribery of physicians perpetrated by Purdue Pharma that lead to the deaths of millions of opioid addicts yet no one in the Sackler Family, who owned the enterprise, ever went to prison and Purdue Pharma is still in business.
