For the last two years, I've been trying to figure out how to solve two major issues with the future of the liberty movement. The first of these issues is that of having proper support systems to help new candidates and grassroots advocates. The second issue is the lack of resources available within the liberty movement.

I would like to outline my vision for how this platform can help solve both these issues.

Community and Support

Steemit is a perfect place for all those involved in the liberty movement to come together and share their thoughts, ideas and updates on what's going on in their local area.

As of right now, most of the organization and the liberty movement is done through the use of a bunch of segmented Facebook pages and groups. With Steemit, we can have a centralized place for all of us to contribute while also being able to use tags to segment our different posts.

Here are the different tags we should use followed by a description:

liberty - Discuss general ideas with the liberty community
libertygrassroots - Discuss important events or activism within the liberty movement
politics - US and Foreign political news // Congressional and Presidential News
[city]politics - Discuss things going on the local city/country areas
[state]politics - Discuss statewide political issues
campaignsupport - Providing or asking for help on a campaign. There are a lot of moving parts and when someone needs help with an issue, this can be a place to find that help so that the candidate can focus on winning.
libertycampaigns - Giving updates about current liberty candidates and campaigns
austrianeconomics - Discuss economic theory and news

And as specific important campaigns come up, they will have their own tags. These will obviously change and evolve, but I just wanted to lay out a starting point for organizing our group here.

Growing Our Resources

The liberty movement is not the most well funded movement compared to the bigger "Progressive" movement or the "Christian Right".

By organizing on Steemit, the liberty movement will be able to earn STEEM for contributing to the community. And from there, use that STEEM to help others in the movement by either donating Bitcoin bought with that STEEM or by having more power to upvote others for their contributions. We all win!

This could help us afford to do more marketing, buy more flyers, make more media and everything else that the liberty movement has always had trouble purchasing. And all we have to do is all the same stuff we already do on other sites, but in a more organized way.

We have an opportunity here to grow this movement! Let's do this!
