Good news! That ridiculous cell phone ban that was proposed by Republican Mike Huval from Breaux Bridge, LA died after the bill stalled in the Louisiana Senate. Which is good, because it is one less thing for cops to pull over, and harass people over. This should just show you that Republicans and Democrats want to control everything you do, say, and think.

Do I think using a cell phone is a good idea? Hell no, I drive for Uber on the weekends, I hate it when people are staring down at their crotches instead of paying attention to the road. I also plan on getting back into riding motorcycles. Part of me says "Don't get out with a bunch of distracted cagers man!" Everything is a risk, and no government can legislate away risks.

The legislative session ended early so that the legislature can begin working on the budget shortfall. The governor, John Bel Edwards, wants to keep the temporary sales tax increase permanent. No big surprise there, as a Democrat wants to keep, what was supposed to be a temporary sales tax, and make it permanent. These politicians have been keep a double set of books, and they won't dare tell your about the billions in assets and investments that could be liquidated to cover any hole in the budget.
