Who is behind all this?

Vít Jedlička is a renowned libertarian Czech political activist opposed to all types of state interventionism. In his native Czech Republic, the 31-year-old politician is part of the Free Citizens Party, a right-wing party formed some years ago.

Vít Jedlička

The basic slogan of the foundation of Liberland is that citizens are completely free of any type of state intervention that limits their liberties. There are no public services, taxes are the minimum necessary to maintain the administrative functioning of the State and each one is totally free with regard to his or her orientation, religion and philosophical ideas. However, citizens with a Nazi, communist or extremist background of any kind are not allowed.

Is it a real country?

What is a "real" country? Actually it is very difficult to say. The lands belonged to no one, nobody really cared what was happening there. Now a group of people took it as their own and formed a state that already has identity symbols, a territory, a government and a Constitution. Of course, the population is lacking, something essential for a country to make sense, right? They also do not have a police or military force.

You can be a citizen of Liberland!

You can apply for Liberland citizenship by filling out the citizenship form available on their official website. According to Liberland's own national definition, people who have respect for others and their opinions regardless of their race, ethnicity, orientation or religion are needed. Also people who respect private property and people who do not have any kind of criminal or political-extremist background.

Luis Fernando Mises recorded Vít Jedlička speaking at Anarchapulco in 2017. Please note the audio is a little crude. You can watch the video below:

Great information i don't know about liberland before but now i know about its amazing welcome liberland

Just 7 square kilometer. Its very small then. It can support only a small population. If they want to farm on their own then they may have to dedicate half of the land for that purpose. They can't even built factories. They may have to import everything.

the idea is also to have mostly e-citizens, not just physical ones. but yes, you are right on the importing of goods.

Luis,
Great exciting post.
I had heard of the tiny nation in the north sea that is on an abandoned oil platform. .lol
This space sounds way more feisable to get to.
Yes I would be interested to know more.
I guess they would allow cannabis cultivation there, and if they do tax there, I would see it as a contribution to the whole community, not like a fiat obligation.
I want to know more.
Excellent info,
Lynn

yeah, its exciting! thank you for chiming in.
