LGBT movies and series in 2018

This 2018 has had 75 characters identified as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer. A significant and growing number compared to 30 in 2016 and 58 in 2017.

Love, Simon

A teenage romantic comedy, the first in which a large studio takes a homosexual character to the lead role. In spite of being a simple and light film, even the most severe critics did not stop recognizing his contribution in the visibilization and his approach away from the clichés from the leading role, interpreted by the adolescent actor Nick Robinson.

The Miseducation of Cameron Post

The story of Cameron, a girl played by Chloë Grace Moretz, who after the death of her parents has to go live with her aunt, a conservative woman who forces her to take conversion therapies when she discovers her in a compromising situation with another girl.

Bohemian Rhapsody

A series located in the New York of 1987 that shows the interior of one of the most interesting queer movements that was created inside the dancefloors and that, in some way, has survived to the present day. The new bet of the Midas King of television, Ryan Murphy, who gives us a strange and endearing fauna.

The House of Flowers

Mexican Manolo Caro paid tribute to the Mexican soap opera in the series he created for Netflix.
