A cowardly attack

Unknown people have attacked the new LGBT Municipal Resource Centre in Barcelona, which opened its doors in Comte Borrell street. The headquarters of this space, dedicated to the fight against LGBTphobia, has dawned with broken and painted glass on which you can read "You are dead", "Fuck LGBTI" and a Celtic cross, often used by neo-Nazi movements.

This centre was inaugurated on 19 January and occwinsupies a municipal space located at 20-24 Comte Borrell Street, in the Sant Antoni district. The space aims to become a point of reference for the LGBT community, as it offers comprehensive care to lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual and intersex people in the city and shelters different entities, such as the Casal Lambda or the Gay Liberation Front of Catalonia.

The mayoress of Barcelona, Ada Colau, who inaugurated this centre, the first of its kind in Catalonia, has described the attack as "cowardly" and has issued a warning to those responsible: "They have to know that they don't scare us, on the contrary. More than ever we feel the pride of being a diverse city, and the joy of loving who we want and how we want. In Barcelona #lovewins".

Entities like the union UGT or the Observatory against Homophobia have shown their repulsion for this attack and have expressed their solidarity and support with the collective LGBT.
