Review of Sam's no. 3 LoDo
My friend and I went out to linner? Dunch? What's a cross between lunch and dinner? LOL.
Anyway, Sam's is always yummy and they are SO UNDERSTANDING about food allergies (which we both have). Our waitress was awesome.
They were hella busy, but the wait wasn't long. I forgot about photos until we were ordering dessert, and then I forgot to take a photo of that, so please excuse the lack of food porn, lol.
It was so cold outside, but they had the patio area closed behind glass garage doors (see photo), and it was warm and not cold at all (that's where we sat).

Looks warm and inviting. What did you have to eat?
I had a cheeseburger and my friend had the 2 lb. vegetarian burrito, which used to be what I ordered every time I went there because it's really good but I'm allergic to too many things in it now. ;.; She even asked me as we were looking at the menu, "What was the really good thing you always used to get here?"
Then for dessert, I had a hot fudge sundae and she had pecan pie.
Sounds delicious! But 2lbs? Is it possible to eat all that? And have dessert? 😊
Oh no, there are always leftovers. Even on the burger, I was just eating the other half now. American restaurants serve enormous portions. And this place is pretty average in that regard; some places are known for giant portions as compared to the "normal" places already serving large portions. There is this one restaurant we went to once that was really a steak-and-potatoes kind of place, and I swear the portions there are insane. "Ribs" was like something from The Flintstones. "A slice of cake" was the size of a whole cake. When we went (this was years ago), one person in the party had been there before, and we were like, "Mmmm, there's chocolate cake" and she said to get one slice for the whole table and assured us it would be enough. It was. With leftovers. There were four or five of us. LOL

I've eaten at all three locations over the years and they're always consistently good. It's my favorite restaurant.
