Review of Pumblechooks Deli Cafe
pumblechook deli cafe is a great italian deli in thomas more square area, near st Katherine docks. the cafe serves coffee, sandwiches, salads and other hot dishes (pasta, rice and chicken and the likes).
i believe the restaurant is family run. i usually end up at pumblechook for lunch for their paninis. the panini breads are great and the quantity of meat and cheese inside is good. overall, the paninis taste good and the daily specials are excellent.
portion size for hot meals are not to my liking but given that the food is freshly prepared and tastes good, i have no heard a lot of complaints. salad bar has decent options and you pay according to the weight with extra for any meat you want in the salads.
the cafe has seating area inside and outside and prices for eating in are slightly higher. the cafe also runs a loyalty card scheme, 5% worth of points for the money you spend and the points can be used to pay for food later.
overall, going with 4 out of 5 stars for the food quality and price. if you're in the vicinity, do give a look. it is a good lunch cafe.
