Rumah makan Gerar adalah salah satu rumah makan pertama yang ada di kota Dobo. Di sini kita bisa menikmati aneka olahan makanan laut dengan harga murah.
Makanan yang tersedia adalah ikan goreng tepung, ikan bakar, ikan kuah kuning, sayur tumis kangkung, dan lain sebagainya. Penyajiannya tergolong lama sehingga disarankan untuk melakukan pemesanan terlebih dahulu. Hal ini karena mereka memasak ketika ada yang memesan sehingga dari bahan yang segar menghasilkan makanan yang enak.
Harganya tidak terlalu mahal. Seekor ikan sepanjang sekitar 30 cm dihargai Rp.40.000 sudah dengan nasi dan sambal.
