Les Miserables, A Film Review

in #les4 years ago

Being the main and most important is what we always want, to be the center of everything, but do we always have to be one of the main characters in each person's story? Have we ever thought about being different? Or loving by people by being unusual, being who you really are, and doing the things you want to? Be unique in your own way? How I wish I was. I loved a guy who was also in love with another beautiful young woman. How I wish to be his ”. How I wish I was never alone again. How I wish to be happy and spend the rest of my life with him. Oh, as I wish, but I can't. Loving him made me strange, he used me to get to know the young woman better and to be closer to her even though I have already implored her precious love. How I want him to do the same for me, but the only thing I want to know is what's in her and why can't I be her? I am Eponine, a miserable woman but with a pure heart who symbolizes the rain. The rain which gives people hard times, pain and sometimes blockage, but the rain which is also the reason for plant growth, the freshness of the air, an environmentally friendly option to keep the compost moist, and the reason why people see rainbows. Because rain is not just something negative and not beneficial, rain is something people should appreciate and thank God for every drop it sheds. It is the story of a beautiful young girl who has always been miserable and who has never been the center of anyone else's life. That despite her desperate life, she was the reason the two lovers are entwined. She paved the way for their love and sacrificed herself for the person she truly loves. She may not be the main character in the story called Les Misérables, but without her everything won't be the same.

There was a beautiful woman whose life was so miserable and tragic. She got pregnant at an early age by someone who betrayed her and let her big responsibilities turn her daughter away from her. Even though she was poor, she did all she could to have money to look for her daughter. The woman was called Fantine, a courageous woman who abandoned herself until her death to find her daughter, Cosette. Before dying, she asked Jean Valjean to look for Cosette and raise her with the love she always wanted her to feel. As promised to his beloved, Jean Valjean sought Cosette and did all he could to reclaim her from the strangers who had adapted her. A few years later, Cosette became a beautiful young woman who was brought up and taken care of by her father, Jean Valjean. Although they live in love, they are hiding from Inspector Javert and the authorities who were looking for his father who stole a loaf of bread long ago. Marius saw Cosette and for the very first time they met, they were already in love with each other. Marius asked Eponine for help, he wanted her to look for the young woman he fell in love with and know her name and where she lived. Marius did not stop persuading her to help him, without knowing that Eponine secretly admired her. Whenever she tries to help Marius she only feels hopeless and miserable thinking that she would be alone forever despite her feelings, she chose to help Marius search for Cosette until they meet. again. Eponine was so upset but she chose to shout and warn Cosette and her father that Inspector Javert was coming towards them. The war has started again, Cosette and her father have fled to hide from Inspector Javert and the authorities. Cosette left a letter declaring her love for Marius, unfortunately Eponine found the letter which upset her. She kept the letter until she decided to hand it over to Marius in the midst of the war against the French authorities that led to her death. Before dying in the arms of Marius, she declared her secret love for him. Marius was sad for the death of his friend, but it made him happy when he read his letter from Cosette. As we saw at a young age, Gavroche chose to fight for their dignity and their rights. Many men died during the war, including the young child, Gavroche and Marius' friend, Enjolras, who raised a red flag before being shot, symbolizing their pride in the dignity and rights of the people. Inspector Javert was devoured by his conscience and felt so sorry for what he did upon seeing the bloodstains and the bodies of the deceased, he chose to die also while jumping on the river. Jean Valjean decides to give his daughter's hand to Marius who marries Cosette. Before her father died, he delivered a letter stating everything she needs to know and answering all of her questions in her mind. This is considered an achievement for Cosette. She found out all about it by finding out and searching for answers about what had really happened before. She only answered his mind when she was able to interpret everything and understand everything.

Critique of formalism is a kind of critique that leads people to solutions that are responded to by understanding and interpreting what really happened. Les Misérables can be a form of criticism of formalism because of its plot. No one has told his story. Audiences will be able to recognize the film by interpreting the events and scenarios presented in the film. It's a delicate kind of film that a viewer can just fully understand by analyzing every situation that happens in the story.

As one of the audiences reviewing this film, the uniqueness of the setting appealed the most. The musical scenes and the air in conversation take away the boredom of the movie which attracted people's interest to watch the movie. Each character's effort brings a different kind of appeal. Gavroche and Eponine seduced the most, their emotions are stronger than the rest of the characters, the emotions they delivered came from their hearts, which can make the audience feel the same. The setting was realistic and made people believe that each scenario was true and real. The way people reacted to each scene made the film more intense and exciting. People were happy after watching the movie. Although Eponine isn't the main character, she was able to prove to audiences that no one needs to be a main character in every person's life, just to be important. That everyone is important enough to live the life they want to live. That everyone is unique, no one should change just to be liked by others, because each person is the creation of God, and if we cannot please people, then they are not worthy for us because they are always there. people who value us, we just don't seem to notice them. We always think we are miserable and desperate, but we are loved, loved by our family who still love us no matter who we are. God, who mends people and loves us unconditionally, no matter how broken we are.
