Hello fellow Steemians :)

Happy New Year to everyone in the new STEEMIT community!

My name is Victor, I'm a leather craftsman and a self experimenter, I tested 10,000 hour rule so I become a leather craftsman:

10,000 hours rule

Before I setup my Etsy shop, I'm a film seller. My philosophy is no matter how poor you are, if you can put 10,000 hours on one thing, just one thing. You can be an expert on that field.

It is too familiar to be successful if you get into something related to what you studied and what you know thoroughly. I would like to do something different - Get myself into an unknown field.

So, I participate into my own life experiment, I drowned myself into leathercraft for around 12,000 hours. What do you think?

My brand is called "L'Chaim Leathercraft", "L'Chaim to life", it's a common Jewish drink toast is "L'Chaim," To Life. Sure, there are difficulties, but when all is said and done, we conclude that it's worth bearing the painful times in order to experience life's pleasures.

I would think although life is hard there should be something good behind. And Friedrich Nietzsche said "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." That's what I believe in.

Also I wanna test and see if I can survive in foreign country so I went to Australia for working holiday for a year. I become a shoes repairer in Perth! It's a funny experience cause I know nothing about shoes repairing. The job interview was just 5 minutes! So the boss asked me do I know how to use sewing machine, I said:"No, I perfer hand stitch cause my home is too small to fit in a sewing machine." Then I put my satchel bag on the table and told him it was made by me, hand stitch. He looked very happy and surprise why there was a man who tend to hand stitch a bag rather than using sewing machine.
