STEEMIT MATH CLASS | LESSON 1- INRODUCING ALGEBRA entry of @whakee
Mathematics has always been seen as one of the hardest subjects to a greater number of students at different educational level. I am grateful to @steemkidsedu for this opportunity to be taught mathematics by @whileponderin a teacher that makes it easier to understand. Thank you Sir @whileponderin.
Q1. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ALGEBRAIC EXPRESSION AND ALGEBRAIC EQUATION?
The difference between algebraic expression and algebraic equation is the equality sign. Algebraic expression is the representation of a mathematical problem without the addition of an equality sign at the end of the representation while Algebraic equation is the representation of a mathematical problem with the addition of an equality sign followed by the result of the problem.
Q2. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A COEFFICIENT AND A CONSTANT?
A coefficient is a constant located in front of a variable. A coefficient is always closely followed by a variable. While a constant is a number that does not change and does not carry a variable.
Q3. IN THE EQUATION "2x + 3=0". WHICH OF THE VALUES IS A COEFFICIENT?
The coefficient in the equation "2x + 3=0" is 2.
Q4. A MAN BOUGHT 8 PENS AND 5 NOTE BOOKS. HE SPENT A VARIABLE TOTAL OF $10 IN THE PROCESS. REPRESENT THIS AS AN ALGEBRAIC EXPRESSION AND AS AN ALGEBRAIC EQUATION?
Algebraic Expression: 8x + 5y
Algebraic Equation: 8x + 5y = 10z
To receive support you must write articles that have more than 300 words in it. Maybe describe a topic in more detail.
Thanks @steemcurator09 for informing me.
My next post will be better.
Dear @whakee
