When we first introduced the #learnwithsteem tag for the Community Curators we had hoped people would make tutorial posts about skills they already had - for example how to play the classical guitar, make jam, grow tomatoes, build a shed etc.
Unfortunately those posts were few and far between.
Instead people just produced posts about random subjects they had little or no knowledge of. Most of the posts are just rewritten from various web sources with little to no insight of the topic they cover.
That is why we dropped the tag.
Looking at your selection above our concerns about this tag remain...
Estuve muy emocionada con la etiqueta cuando comenzó, pero entiendo toda la situación de plagio que abundaba dentro de su curación como lo dijo reminiscence01. Se que fui una de las primeras personas emocionadas con la etiqueta pero por distintas situaciones no pude utilizarlas más de 3 veces, esto fue producto querer participar en los concursos semanales de compromiso donde era mayor la probabilidad de obtener apoyo, además de que estoy en el último año de la universidad donde tengo muchos compromisos universitarios con respecto a actos protocolores y de graduación.
Supongo que lo mismo le pasa con los autores de contenido de calidad, se enfocaron más en el concurso de compromiso para obtener mayores recompensas debido a las distintas situaciones del mercado y (digo en el caso de Venezuela) muchos de los autores venezolanos dependen de Steemit para generar algunos ingresos para sobrevivir en el país. La etiqueta tiene mucho potencial pero las avejas siempre irán a donde está la miel (iran a donde están siendo vistos por SC01 o SC02), solo por el simple hecho ser recompensados por su contenido, Señor
There are always plenty of other tags to use for good content. You could use #science on your educational posts for example.
And @patjewell and Team Lucky Dip are free to curate good posts anywhere on any tags.

My self im afraid to touch my power because will loose my position as Country Representatives snd your voting and booming votes too.
There is this problem we the new country reps are facing and that is we the new country reps are still finding difficulty in getting the keys to the Curation account because the old country reps who have been removed are the ones who actually created the community Curation account and still keep hold of these keys. Its a major problem i want you to address.
Because of your club100 thing some country representatives too have about 5 - 6 different accounts they use booming almost everyday these accounts write.
Be flexible with us so that cheating would stop

It is disappointing to see the removal of "LearnwithSteem" tag. My team understood the sole purpose of the tag which is for tutorials and lesson-related content. I understand the reason for the Steemit team to dissolve the theme because a lot of users were abusing the tag by posting unrelated and poor-quality content under the tag.
My team has been fighting spun/spam content under the tag since the theme was introduced. In the first month of LearnwithSteemi, we took time to mentor and orient users on the type of content posted under the tag. We blacklisted a lot of users for multiple plagiarisms and kept one-time offenders under our watch.
Some time ago, I tried to get SC01 attention about the high rate of farming accounts from Pakistans, These set of users were taking advantage of #learnwithsteem tag and were constantly posting in Steemskill share community. A community with no moderation and the Admin was powering down. My team took note of these users and we stopped supporting their publications. The same format and method of writing.
After they noticed our suspension, most of them decamped to Steem Graphics and Steem-database. But my team already knew these users because their method of writing and quality of content is the same. We spend most of our time filtering spun content under the tag and we hardly find quality content under the tag. But the curation account needs to be utilized and we can't leave the account idle. Sometimes, we go ahead to curate Engagement posts after exhausting the posts under the tag.
Nevertheless, we still have good authors and tutors under learnwithsteem tag teaching quality content and sharing their skills. The problem is that they do not post often and this will leave the curation account most times idle.
This is a new theme and will take more time to achieve the aim of introducing the theme. My team has put a lot of work curating under the tag. We keep making changes and implementing strict measures to achieve the goal of the theme. I hope the Learnwithsteem theme will be reconsidered again.
Unfortunately this post below, caught by @inspiracion, demonstrates that plagiarized posts under #learnwithsteem are not being detected...
This sort of plagiarized post should be trivial to spot. When someone is writing fluently about a technical subject that they obviously have no professional or academic knowledge of then there is a 99.9% chance that it is plagiarized.
You did not mention the numerous cases of plagiarised contents we reported throughout our time as curators.
Well, I had great team members and I'm confident they were dedicated to the work they did.

I was hoping that if I create the interest it will grow into something special. The true meaning of #learnwithsteem. Education is what counts for me.
I must admit it takes a lot of my time to find, read, check & post. I was however willing to give it a chance and see if I could grow it.

Respected @steemcurator01, I have been posting tutorials on this platform for the past 8 months to the best of my ability. I am very sad that you have removed this #learnwithsteem tag because last month I told my friends, and followers, that I will be doing a series of photoshop tutorials, and I have been doing it every lesson now I am at the 6th lesson. Arranging an alternate tag will be useful for us. Thank you.
This is not the bad decision, but if the steemit team can give a chance and makes a post about that what to post for the tag #leaenwithsteem and teach the curators as well that what posts deserves support. It will be great when the tag get introduce through a grand post with whole details about what the steemit team expecting from users on the tag.
(Kindly forgive me if there had a post and I don't know about it before posting comment) let me know if there was any post. Then the steemit team surely have the right to drop the tag.
