We just learned the C7 chord. If you havn’t already noticed, there are two instances when going from A to G that are in increments of a half step instead of a whole step. A half step up from E is F and a half step up from B is C.

Knowing this it is easy to understand why the B7 chord is shaped the way it is.

As you can see, it is essentially the C7 chord moved down half a step. Of course, the finger position is a bit different.

Practice playing the B7 chord and then practice transitioning between the B major and B7 chords.

While you practice transitioning between the two chords, practice strumming up and down in rhythm. “1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4” “Down,up,down,up,down,up,down,up”
