Twisted treeline guide

Twisted Treeline is without doubt the most underplayed map in League of Legends. But since Riot decided to change the rewards for ranked, some of us are almost forced to get gold or higher, even in this mode. There are a lot more viable combinations than in Summoners Rift. In this guide I will briefly discuss all the important matters in Ranked Flex 3v3. These important issues are the roles and team comps, strong picks and some tips.

Team comps
There are two ways to play Twisted treeline: the jungle meta and the carry-support meta.

• In the jungle meta there are 3 roles: top, bot and jungle. Top is usually played by a fighter or tank champion, while bot is played by a mage or an ADC. The jungle champion pool is a lot bigger than the one of Summoners Rift, because you start with 850 gold and can buy 2 jungle items with this instead of one. So the jungle role can be played by any champ with a good engage and strong CC.
• The carry-support meta is a bit more complicated. You have a toplaner with smite, a support and a botlaner. The toplaner and support stay top until their minions are pushed under the tower of the enemy, then they clear their jungle camps and/or gank botlaner. The top role can be filled by any hyper carry and the support role can be played by a hand full of supports of which Taric is by far the best. For the botlane role the same rules count as with the other meta.

Strong picks
Strong picks vary a lot due to the updates, that's why I use https://www.rankedboost.com to check their newest tier list. In Twisted treeline it's important to have at least one tank and a lot of CC. Some strong picks at the moment are Rammus, Urgot, Taric and Brand. Remember the player is more important than the champs so only play champions you are familiar with. Tips

• Push your lanes in so the enemies can't roam.
• Pick the Demolish rune, because towers are really important.
• Don't forget to capture the altars
• When you destroy one of their inhibitors and/or you outnumber the enemy, rush Vilemaw.
• Because the map is small lanes can gank each other really easy. Try to gank together with the jungler.
