Ribbon fern, whose botanical name is pteris cretica, is a species of evergreen fern in the family pteridaceae native to Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Also called Cretan brake or Cretan brake fern, it typically grows up to 75 cm tall.

This fern is widely used as an ornamental plant, both in the ground and in pots.
