European Beech (Fagus Sylvatica)

The European beech, whose botanical name is fagus sylvatica, is a deciduous tree of the beech family.

Also called common beech, it is a large tree that can reach a height of 50 meters and a trunk diameter of 3 meters.

There is one of the most beautiful beech forests in Europe, called Sonian Forest, located southeast of Brussels, Belgium.
