Japanese Cheesewood (Pittosporum Tobira)
The Japanese cheesewood, scientifically known as pittosporum tobira, is a species of fragrant flowering plant in the pittosporaceae family.
It is also known by several common names, including Australian laurel, Japanese pittosporum, and mock orange, and is native to Japan, China, Taiwan, and Korea.
The plant has also spread throughout the world and is used as an ornamental plant in landscaping and as a cut leaf.
The leaves have downward curving edges, are oval in shape, and reach 10 cm in length.
The upper surface of the leaf is rough, hairless, dark and shiny.
Its stems, leaves, and dried fruits are widely used in floral arrangements.
