Learning and Leading 学习和领导

Indeed the world is in need of good leaders who are able to provide direction and navigate the people toward their goal. But it is not a coincidence to be able to rise up in leadership for the blessing of many people.

Leadership needs to be learned even for those born with the leadership talent. Therefore, if a person desires to be a leader, the person must determine to learn. One of the effective ways is by disciplining oneself to learn daily. It can be through reading leadership books and put into practice to gradually master certain skills of leadership. The growth in leadership for that person can be accelerated if a mentor or coach has been sought to provide guidance and training. To reiterate, leadership is learned and without shortcut. A leader is always a learner. Any time the leader stops learning is to give up leading. But over time the learner will become better leader through disciplining oneself to learn consistently and continuously.

Secondly, a leader begins with leading oneself rather than others. Authentic followers will not follow a leader who does not even able to lead one’s own life. Once the person has been leading oneself and being observed and recognised as making positive influence, other people will be attracted to follow such leadership. Over time, that leader is able to lead beyond oneself by leading increasing number of people.

世界的确需要好的领袖即是指能夠提供方向及引导他人迈向目标的人。然而能够提升自己的领导成为祝福多人不会是一件偶然的事。

领导必须透过学习即便是有些人生来就具有领导才华。所以一个人想要成为领袖，那人就要投入学习。其中一个有効的方式就是操练自己天天学习。他可以透过读领导的书籍，並学习应用以逐渐掌握一些领导技巧。如果能獲得一位导师或教练的引导和训练，那个人在领导方面可以加速成长。加以重申，领导必须透过学习而没有捷径。一位领袖经常是一位学习者。那个时候一位领袖停止学习即意味着放弃领导。随着时间，该学习者会因为一贯的持续操练而成为一位更好的领袖。

第二方面，一位领袖开始时是在领导自己而非别人。真实的跟随者不会跟随一位什至不能领导自己的人。一旦那个人已经在领导自己，並受到观察被認同正在發出正面的影响，其他人就会被吸引跟随其领导。随着时日，那位领袖能够超越领导自己，而渐渐领导更多的人。
