Leadership Is A Trained And Attained Skill
First and foremost, a leader needs to be a leader first, and that doesn't just mean having a point of view and speaking up to empower others. Successful leaders are motivated by passion for doing what they do best and, in turn, spend their lives motivated and truly doing the most good with what they have been given. If you are motivated to do what you do best, that means you will be a great leader. A Leader must have a powerful inner voice, but there are plenty of selfish individuals in this world, it takes commitment to the game and you must be willing to sacrifice for your vision to take root.
In any leadership position one must constantly ask themselves, "Am I acting in accordance with my self-interest? Am I changing the direction of the organization for the greater good? Am I faithfully representing the mission of the socirty?. Reasons why leaders make poor leaders include, but are not limited to:
- Lack of charisma
- Poor motivational skills
- Bad character traits
- Poor understanding of gospel principles
- Misdirected finances
What must be a leader's nature to be successful at leadership is a force of nature: purpose, dedication, vision, courage, honesty, fairness, open-mindedness, vulnerability, trust, passion, and emotion. When a leader has these qualities in a healthy balance, the whole starts to come together.A powerful leader realizes that the only way his team will achieve any meaningful goals is for him to personally connect with his inner system.
Such leadership traits as bravery, reliability, respect and self-discipline are the results of years of training, ability and other qualities of the individual. And much has been learned through the training, due to the determination of many that these qualities of personality, ethics, morals and character are not only admirable, but necessary in the performance of effective leadership. To be a great leader, we must develop the skills and attributes that make us really successful in the role. Not only must the individual's personality be developed,
There are various reports of how experts in leadership have analyzed leadership in various media, including magazines. The data of reports based on analyses like that published by different magazines are consistent. This result has even been published in mainstream and socially-responsible media. The other argument that I have heard is that professionals say that it's all about personality and character traits. But this is the very opposite of what people in leadership say they believe. What matters is passion and experience, both of which can be acquired through life experience, not personality and character
