Leadership
Good evening steemians, it is 20:15 GMT +1 in this part of the world. I will be practically giving definition to personal leadership to differentiate it from leadership of others.

Leadership has been defined as the process of guiding, conducting or directing to a certain course or to a certain place or end by making the way known going with it going ahead of. Leadership also means influence. Another dictionary meaning is to guide or conduct oneself through a certain course.
Many are times when the word leadership is mentioned, two things come to our mind - others and control. We have erroneously believed that leadership means controlling others. However, the obvious truth is leadership, true leadership speaks about two things - YOU & VISION.
The leadership of others is the commonest practiced leadership. We hardly ever discuss the issue of the leadership of oneself , personal leadership. We also do not know that true leadership is void & meaningless without vision.
Vision is a mental picture of a desired future(the future can be the next one hour, one month, the end of the year and so on)- either long term or short term. It is the image of something we desire to become, to possess or to happen. Without having a vision , leadership is meaningless.
As an individual; a student, a teacher, a business man, a reader, a writer or whatever career or profession, having a vision or goal is very important to make us become a better version of ourself daily.

Being able to specifically picture what we want our life to become is the first step in personal leadership. Without it , we will only keep living, day-in day-out, being controlled by the situation of things around us, not living deliberately and then end up becoming anything that life gives to us.
Personal leadership is the state of having a clear vision of a future you desire, knowing and being disciplined enough to follow the specific steps that will help us to achieve and fulfill our desired goals. You see, it's not difficult to have a vision, it is very easy to desire a better tomorrow but the reality is the path that to that vision can surely never be very smooth.
That's why not many people are successful. The ability to be disciplined and committed to fulfilling our visions and goals, whether the road is smooth or not is called PERSONAL LEADERSHIP. The ability to start and remain committed, focused and hardworking, to live deliberately and not be controlled by friends and other forces, the social media and various other distractions around is the quality called PERSONAL LEADERSHIP.
As student, the ability to decide what grade you desire at the end of an academical session, the choice of career to pursue and how successful you want to be in life and to be disciplined is called PERSONAL LEADERSHIP
As a business man,the ability to deliberate on what maximum benefits your goods and services will contribute to the environment and how to maximize profit without exhortation is called PERSONAL LEADERSHIP
Everyone wants to be successful. Only few people truly are. Your ability to lead yourself to your specific vision will make you a success.

- For a period of one week or probably a month, think about the future you desire
- As it comes to your mind, take a careful writing account of them.
- When you are done, write down the things you need to do and things you need to stop doing so as to become who and what you want to be.
- Make up your mind to do the things you have listed and to stop doing the ones you should stop.
- You are definitely on your way to success!!!

No one can give what he has not. How successful you are in leading others is directly related to your personal leadership.
Leadership is a broad path in all aspects of life, not many would understand, even as it stares them in the face. However you see yourself, whatever your age may be, as soon as you make that exciting first hire, you have taken the first steps in becoming a leader. As a leader, its important to learn to think outside the box and to choose which of two bad choices is the best option. Thanks for sharing
