Action is the antidote for anxiety.

You can’t just think about what you want to do. You must take action.

Don’t try to control the uncontrollable.
There are many things that are out of our control, yet we spend a lot of time worrying about them or trying to control them. You can’t control the traffic for example, but you can control how you respond to it. You can learn better roads, or times to travel, or use the time to boost your energy with energy maintainers. Make sure you spend your time on the things that you can control.

Energy maintainers
Exercise, healthy eating, anything you need to do to keep your energy up. Sleep is very important for example. Prioritize time with people and things that makes you feel good about life. Make sure you schedule time for the energy maintainers.

Energy drainers
Toxic people, unnecessary meetings, long and tedious emails. Try to avoid the things that drain your energy. It may take willpower and fortitude to eliminate, or at least minimize, the energy drainers, but it’ll be worth it.

Celebrate victories
Make sure you know why you do what you do, and celebrate the important steps on your way to your goal. After all, it’s no fun getting to where you should be if you don’t enjoy the ride.

Get a support group
You need a group of people that you can depend on and share your thoughts and feelings. Build it before you need it. give and receive. Build the relationship so that you know who to trust.
