Lightning Bitcoin Witness Announcement! Vote for 'lbtc.network'?

in #lbtc7 years ago (edited)

I've created a Lightning Bitcoin witness!

If you've not heard of Lightning Bitcoin, it's a Graphene (DPOS 2.0) fork of Bitcoin, with its snapshot taken at block number 499,999 back in mid December.

I have registered the domain lbtc.network and will use this as my witness name in the Lightning Bitcoin network and as my full node address for seeding the LBTC network.

If elected a witness for LBTC, I'll investigate the development of a HUG REST API for LBTC, similar to the BTS HUG REST API which I created recently. The major difference being that there isn't currently a dedicated LBTC python library, so I'll have to investigate the use of python-graphenelib instead.

If you are a Lightning Bitcoin holder, then do please consider voting for my witness account lbtc.network

The light wallet tutorial provides the following instructions for voting via the GUI:

Voting.

Open Delegates tab. On this page you can see all registered delegates. Tick the usernames of delegates you want to vote for (maximum of 51 delegates can be chosen), in the Fee Address enter your own address and click on the Vote button to complete the voting process. Regardless of the number of delegates you chose, voting fee for each time is 0.01 LBTC. To see your votes, click MyVotes >> Refresh

If running a full node, the following command will vote for my witness:

vote your_lbtc_address lbtc.network

I'm not sure how voting with many LBTC addresses will work through the CLI, but any votes would be massively appreciated! :D

Node specs:

  • 6 CPU cores.
  • 16GB RAM
  • 200GB SSD & 400GB fast block storage (Where the LBTC blockchain data is stored).
  • DDOS protection!
  • Download Speed: 2169.08 Mbit/s
  • Upload Speed: 1948.73 Mbit/s

If you have not done so yet, Join the LBTC Telegram channel!

wow glad to know about lightning bitcoin and i will do more research on it soon in the mean time i retweet it to my twitter follower's.

If you're interested in running a witness for the LBTC network, then it's certainly not too late to get elected - there are 101 roles and there are visible instances of duplicate witnesses (ie account1, account2, account3), so it'd be easy to make the case for increasing decentralization when campaigning for an LBTC role!

I like your work dear
You and analyst @salahuddin2004 are two top analysts of cryptoworld.

Seems you know well about bitcoin analysis. Good work.

Resteem....please vote me

But i have only 4GB RAM

If you want to run your own full node for LBTC, you'll certainly need more than 4GB RAM :P

Lightening coin?
I've never heard of this until now. Was just passing through and the topic attracted me here....

Would need to go and get more information about it....

So glad to be here...
