Right now The LBRY App mostly has the basic functions of:

• Publishing
• Viewing videos
• Playing music files
• Claiming names and @channels

But the LBRY team is working HARD!

From Monday to Friday, they are on their paycheck from their $500,000 VC funding they received about 1 year ago.

Just look at the Github of their high activity:

It shows they started working harder on the LBRY App in January 2017. Peaking at 101 commits in a week in February.

If you have tried the LBRY App, you probably know that it is working quite allright.

You can publish your files; you get some views. You can watch other content.

But you might be missing some cool and practical features.

Here is my personal top 10 list of anticipated LBRY App features and functions:

1. Sharing income-revenue between several addresses. (great if you have actors for a video who needs royalties)

2. Allowing other people to fill up LBC in your name claims to gain priority.

3.  A list of all existing claims in sortable order (then you can see the claims with the most money deposited.)

4. Publishers paying for file hosting

5. Live streaming

6. Easy-to-understand: Introduction to LBRY

7. Dark-theme in LBRY App

8. Encryption of wallet + possibility generating several wallet accounts.

9. Publishing a file with a category or tag

10. Thumbnail generator in-app

MY SECRET ANTICIPATION: (11. LBC/USD Gateway in-app)

MY SECRET ANTICIPATION: (12. Shapeshift integration, making LBRY App crypto-agnostic)

When will we see most of these changes done?

My guess is about 1 year.

5. zero-ghost [4:18 AM] i mentioned this in general channel the other day[4:19] but i think most important thing to get in would be the option for people to upload their media to a seedbox [4:19] so they dont have to keep their lbry client running to seed [4:19] im guessing there will be a lot of people that wont, cant, dont want to, etc keep their pc on and seeding [4:19] and that would solve the lbry on mobile issue [4:20] just charge a lbc fee for having it hosted for you [4:20] and the hosts get paid for that
