Absolutely not! Badges should afford no special rights to the police, moral or otherwise. They should be held to the same standards of behaviour as the rest of us.
In Ireland, our police force is called An Garda Síochána (Guardians of the Peace) a job description which should certainly preclude home invasion and beating members of the public to death.
