DIFFERENT LANGUAGES IN THE WORLD (the importance of learning different languages)
Merriam webster dictionary defined Language as a system of signs and words that people use in expressing their thoughts and feelings to each other.
Different countries in the world have their different general language and then different ethnic groups or tribes have their own special languages. Languages were created to show the difference between A and B. For example; I am a Nigerian, our general language is "english" but am from a place called Wanikade in Yala Local Government Area, Cross-River State of which we speak "Ukele" as our own language, other people of the same state where i come from speak different languages. Not even to talk of other tribes from other state.
To me i feel that languages are a means of identification and communication amongst a group of people located in a particular environment.
One of the best linguist resource currently list 6909 living languages. About 6% of them have about one million speakers and collectively account for 94% of the world population. There are some unrecognised languages. Some countries that have the general speaking language still have different languages in it, while some have just a general language which everyone speaks and there are no others.
Languages are important and languages are vital, its good to always know how to speak different languages, because at some point you tend to travel to another part of the world that don't speak your country's language. In most situations people now pay to get interpreters that would help them translate for better understanding, that is for the period of their stay in that country.
So steemians, its good to learn different languages as much as you can to make yourself broad and vast in communication in different countries.
