Sculptures
Last weekend we did some Geocaching on a trip to visit the in-laws. We ended up walking all around a bunch of sculptures in the woods. They are done by several different artists and more will be getting added.
This one is called "Tree Circus", and it is my favorite one of the bunch.
This one is called "Ponderosa Whirlpool". You can go stand on a large rock in the center and get a different perspective on it.
This one is called "House of Sky". It is very reflective. At the right angle it blends right in as it only reflects the blue of the sky.
This one is called "Stringer". It is designed to play with shadow. We were there close to noon so the shadows weren't very pronounced. It would be cool to see it at a time when it cast more of a shadow.
This one is called "East West Passage". It is about 4 feet deep and winds its way along the path. I expect the experience would be different for anyone not tall enough to see over the walls.
This one is called "Hill and Valley". It is made mostly out of stacked up newspaper.
This last one is called "Of Earth Sky Of Place Between". It shows stress fractures.
We had a great time wandering around the sculptures and getting the caches in the area. Will have to keep an eye on this place and see what new ones are added in the future.
