Reconstruction of the Jesuit Reduction Nuestra Señora del Pilar.
The Pillar Reduction was built on the shore of the Laguna "Las Cabrillas", currently called "Laguna de los Padres". Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
This reconstruction, made with the materials and methods of that time and the original building layout, consists of three adobe ranches and a missionary chapel.
The missionary chapel, which impacts by its humble austerity, invites the silence of prayer. Some visitors will have believed to hear in distant voices the principles of the Christian Doctrine that in chorus of Indians and Jesuits repeated "Santa Cruz ni guelmen", or what in Castilian is "By the sign of the Holy Cross".
On November 13, 1746, two missionaries of the Society of Jesus, Fathers José Cardiel and Thomas Falkner, nail the Cross and initiate Christian doctrine on the side of a large lagoon, thus founding the mission of Puelches de Our Lady of the Pillar of the Vuulcan.
Among the labor activities was the cultivation of wheat, this population being the pioneer in this matter in the southeast of the province.

• La Reducción del Pilar se levantó a orillas de la Laguna "Las Cabrillas" denominada en la actualidad "Laguna de los Padres". Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
  Esta reconstrucción, realizada con los materiales y métodos de aquella época y la disposición edilicia original, consta de tres ranchos de adobe y una capilla misionera.
  La capilla misionera, que impacta por su humilde austeridad, invita al silencio de la oración. Algún visitante habrá creído escuchar en voces lejanas los principios de la Doctrina Cristiana que en coro de Indios y Jesuitas repetían “Santa Cruz ni guelmen”, o lo que en castellano es “Por la señal de la Santa Cruz”.
  El día 13 de noviembre de 1746, dos misioneros de la Compañía de Jesús, los Padres José Cardiel y Thomas Falkner, clavan la Cruz y entablan la doctrina cristiana a la vera de una laguna grande, fundando de esa manera, la misión de Puelches de Nuestra Señora del Pilar del Vuulcan.
  Entre las actividades laborales figuraba el cultivo del trigo, siendo esta población la pionera en esta materia en el sudeste de la provincia.
