The sounds of the futures future

Listen. Can you hear it? The sounds of now. People, dog barking, cars, buses, phones, air conditioning, video ads, shops loudspeakers with hit songs. Everything has a sound. Ice cream trucks, pedestrian traffic lights. Noise pollution.

I predict that in the future people who are fed up with noise pollution will begin the Silent Mode Day. On one day of the year, all those involved, will silence their technical devices. No shouting, no ringing phones, no cars, no beeping devices, no music playing in the streets, no power drilling. No to all loud noises.

Over the years, the Silent Mode Day turns into a day when devices continue to beep and make noise like every day, but people mute themselves. For one day people stop speaking. Silent Mode Day.

Gradually the reason of Silent Mode Day is totally forgotten and ultimately changes completely. In the futures future, the Silent Mode Day will be held because so many poor families around the world can't afford to buy the coolest and the newest hit songs to their phones due to high copyright fees.

Some Silent Mode celebrators believe that day is about the fact that people just talk too much. About themselves and each other. A religious cult called Sometimes It's Good To Be Quiet emerges. This extremist group believe in their cause so strong that it threatens to execute all those who dare to speak at Silent Mode Day. First everyone and then the rest.
