Hiking in Zell am See / Kaprun
On my holiday in Mittersil this year i also visited Zell am See / Kaprun and the big Water Power Plant there. It has a capacity of 85 Billion Liters of water and is one of the biggest Dams in Austria for Power Generation. It collects the melting water of Austrias highest mountain the Großglockner. And when it is filled with water it looks pretty amazin, because the water has a very beautiful green or aquamarin color depending on the reflection of the sun.
If you are lucky you can enjoy a very different weather only on one day. When i visited the Power Plant there we had pretty much fog and during the day the fog vanished because of the sun warming up. The weather situation changes very fast on the mountains so you always need to beprepared because maybe it can get cold or rainy pretty fast.

I love it! the clouds, colors - everything...
And the shot on the lake from dam - with shadows over it is mmmm beautiful - not to mention 1st and 2nd and basically all the rest!

Wunderschöne Aufnahmen! Wollte da vergangenen Oktober auch rauf, allerdings waren die Wanderwege schon gesperrt wegen der Wintersaison. :)
