Thunder. You hear lots of thunder there (at least during the summer, it rained on me every time I was there) but other than that its rather calm and quiet and peaceful. There's also trails leaving from there that go to other lakes higher up that are even more so.

It's definitely worth the visit, Rocky Mountain National Park is an amazing place.
